Eastrail Bellevue

The Eastrail will serve as the eastern terminus or gateway to the Grand Connection Crossing, drawing Eastrail users to experience all Downtown Bellevue has to offer. When complete, Eastrail will be an uninterrupted 42-mile north/south multi-use trail that will connect Eastside communities with new opportunities for active transportation and recreation.

Bellevue provides a unique opportunity for Eastrail as one of the more dense and urban segments of the trail as it passes through Wilburton. The most complex location in the corridor is also the place where there might be the most significant opportunity to create a destination moment. Future private development in Wilburton will creatively tie the Grand Connection Crossing in with the Eastrail and the nearby future Sound Transit Wilburton Link Station.

The city is working to advance the trail by supporting its design and development of key trail crossings and exploring land use updates and opportunities for trail-oriented development.
